Croatian Society of Profesional Ballet Artists
The Croatian Society of Professional Ballet Artists (HDPBU) founded in 1959 in Zagreb, is the leading Croatian association of professional ballet artists in the Republic of Croatia.
Society members
The members of the Society are professional ballet dancers, choreographers, pedagogues and ballet masters – repetiteurs of the four national theatres; the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, the Croatian National Theatre in Split, the Croatian National Theatre “Ivan noble Zajc” in Rijeka, the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek, the City Theatre Komedija, and dancers of LADO – the folk dance ensemble of Croatia.
The Society functions as a professional association that determines the status of professional ballet artists and deals with problems that are of vital importance for the profession and with issues that will promote the art of ballet in the country and abroad.
Society’s goals
The goal of the Society is the artistic and professional development of its members, an exchange of knowledge and experience and the presentation of Croatian cultural tradition and its ballet artists around the world.
