The International Ballet Competition Slavenska Prix was founded in 2006 as a biennial ballet competition named after our celebrated prima ballerina Mia Čorak Slavenska. In 2010, the competition has become international and moved to the venue of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, which is our partner and provides us with all logistical and technical assistance.
Until now jury members were prominent international ballet artists: Irek Mukhamedov, Faruk Ruzimatov, Attilio Labisse, Lydia Mila Milovac, Ljubinka Dobrijević, Dr. Simona Noja Nebyla, Dr. Szilard Macher, Alin Gheorgiu, Joseph Morrissey, Anastasia Matvienko, Ronald Savković, Pavel Rotaru, etc.
The competition has two soloist categories: JUNIORS (up to 19 years old) and SENIORS (from 19 to 28 years old). This year we plan to introduce a new category for schools and ballet studios: GROUPS, namely SMALL (up to 4 dancers), MEDIUM (5 to 10 dancers) and LARGE (10 to 20 dancers).

06.07.2026 GALA CONCERT OF SOLO LAUREATES AND AWARDS – Croatian National Theatre
